Seen this lad linked recently, apparently Mirallas has recommended him to Martinez.

Scored 12 last season in the Belgian league, 6 in 8 thus far this year.

Only 20 and 6'1, Swansea tried to get him for 2.5m a few months back, looks like he could be bought for about 3m.

Worth a punt?

I've been watching him as much as possible this season since I saw on some obscure site that we'd sent scouts to watch him, and somebody mentioned him on here a few months ago, and i've mentioned him before on the 'Needs for the next transfer window' thread. He's a terrific prospect. Same age as Lukaku, he would be the perfect back-up for him from January onwards. It'd give him time to settle, and then next season he could easily be our main man up-front. He's that good.

I'm comparing him to Lukaku because they're similar types of player. Quick, strong, commanding centre-forwards, although i'd say Batshuayi has the edge in regards to speed and dribbling ability, while Lukaku is the stronger of the two. I'd actually say Batshuayi is the more skill full player, but is a bit off Lukaku in his all-round play. He's scored 12 in all comps for Liege this season, and he'd be a real coup if we signed him. Honestly believe that he'd go a long way to softening the blow when Lukaku leaves. He could easily be Lukaku mark.2

*edit: By 'more skill full', I don't mean he's the better player than Lukaku. Just has quicker feet in regards to pace and skill on the ball.
