Militant thread locking

OK, I know I am going to get some MOD grief for posting this but, why keep locking threads when they get a little bit political.

It's a forum ffs and this is the ALE HOUSE, an "Off Topic board where you can discuss whatever you want."

It's worse than bluekipper (shudder) for trigger-happy mods locking threads and threatening posters who dare to get political or mildly contraversial.

In closing the Israel thread, the mods are no better than MOSAD.

Free speech my arse.

Anyway OP i assume you're talking about the Israel thread, in which case i can totally understand it being locked. The original post in that thread sort of set it on that path by calling Israel a 'loathsome bunch of gangsters'.
