How much was it? I go from Maghull to Liverpool or Southport mostly and you can't buy singles it is £4.80 whether you're going one way or two.

About £3, can't remember.

You can buy two singles, however it's £4.80 for a Merseyrail Day Saver - valid all day after 9.30am - and if memory serves, a single to Southport (I work in Sowy) is £5.15. The staff in the ticket office know this and just give you a day ticket for the Northern and Wirral lines which is £4.80, if you buy after 9.30am or it's a weekend day. It's a bit of an anomaly.

It is only worth buying single tickets if you have a Railcard.

Might be worth your knowing that you can get a Merseytravel Saveaway for £4.90 in all their manned stations that covers unlimited rail and bus travel for the day on the Northern Lines, City Line (to the end of Merseyside), Wirral Line and all public bus services in Merseyside - also after 9.30am - and for just 10p more.

Forgetting to give my notice in to the landlord that I wanted to leave at the end of my contract. Now I'm in for another 3 months unless I can find someone to fill it. FFS. Will have to wait up to 28 days for my deposit back too. Ball. Ache.
