It's all relative, it's what you're used to.
I had the Bro in Law over in apr/may, we came out of the pub one night and he was amazed it was still so 'warm' and laughed when I said it was a bit 'nippy'.
One man's 20 degrees is, from another perspective, another's 12 degrees.
I spent one of the coldest winters (62-63 google it) going to school in shorts.

How hot is it there at night mate? I can handle 30 to 35 degrees during the day but when it doesn't cool down much at night it's horrible

tbf, there are nights when it's a humid 25...which is why aircon was invented.

Should work with a bit of practice I think; try different thumb movements. I think there is a a mechanical effect; if you use the wrong hand you'll push the legs of the scissors wider (which makes cutting more difficult). The blades are mirrored. The natural scissoring movement makes a left hander push the leg of a right handed scissors wide; there is a gap which makes it more difficult to use the apparatus.

Buy left handed scissors.

I think you're right about the gap thing, it's just a lack of practice, no muscle memory and I needed to trim a nail on my right hand

Waking up at 6am because a dream I was having jolted me awake..

The dream was: Everton needed a point at Spurs in the final game of the season to win something or other... and, deep in injury time 2-1 down a young substitute had come on for us and "scored" his first goal for the Blues with a brilliant overhead kick only for the ba.. lino to flag him offside (because the keeper had stepped up and missed the ball) - the replay showed he was miles onside.. and, naturally, I was so angry I woke up.. (fume!!)

I always have dreams I'm late to work or I've hurt myself and need to get the hospital
then I get my pants halfway on and realise it's 4am and I'm fine
