Supposed to be going watching The Libertines with my two stepsons next Friday and it's been cancelled for maintenance works at the Empress Ballrooms. It had dropped perfectly for my scheduled day off work but I've no chance of getting the day off for the rescheduled date. Plus the rooms I booked for us to stop over are non-refundable so even with a ticket refund I'm still down £70.

A woman a few desks away from me plays music through her computer speakers everyday and not through headphones like any other person in an office would. I'd say something but she's a brassy thing and her line manager is the director. Utter tit.

Have you tried just doing the same yourself? Perhaps you could enlist others who it also irritates. Once there's several sets of competing speakers all on the go, I'd imagine management will need to intervene.

I dislike the fact that my partner says that some soap in our bathroom is for "special occasions". What does this even mean? What special ablutions are we saving them for?

When my feckless in laws come to stay, my missus puts Harrods quality Egyptian cotton bedding on their bed for them.

When they leave she takes it off and the regular bedding goes back on.

Normally they're so pissed that they could be sleeping on a sack and wouldn't notice.

It drives me insane and I'd dearly like to get the dog to to piss all over it, before they got into bed

Wait until everyone has gone home, including her. Then open up the back of her machine and "modify" the sound card. No chance in hell she'll ever work out what has happened.
