I'm not sure this is a minor thing, actually.

I really find it distasteful that the moment Hallowe'en has passed, all advertising and marketing immediately shifts to Christmas, despite the fact that Remembrance Sunday is clearly marked on the calendar. It would do many people in this country well to actually spend those few days NOT mindlessly obeying the demands of consumerism.

One more monthly payday at the end of November though before Xmas day.
You need the money in the tills.

Just seen that some people are upset that the new John Lewis Christmas advert isn’t that good. Also saw that people were fuming that the stupid Cola Cola truck won’t be going to their city.

I do my level best to try to be the last person to see it, so when everyone is cooing over the latest ad, I can quite happily say that I'm not arsed in the slightest about seeing it

Can’t stand those ‘heros’ who come in to work when they’re ill and spread their germs everywhere. They act like they’re a real asset to the company for turning up.
