Call me a rubber necker if you like, but I'd love a thread like the Everton news one (where it's not open to replies) where bans, temporary or perma, are listed, along with their forum crimes.GOT paperwork after an evenings cull.

This would solve mysteries as to where posters have evaporated to, and be a salient warning to others as to what sort of things cross the line.
Plus we can throw rotten tomatoes at those in the stocks in the manner of liking the post.
Well yeah, fair point, that'd be dull.Most bans never even get as far as actually posting mate. Spammers probably represent 80% of the Banned List of users. We pick them up using some witchcraft on the server, or somewhere.

But bans for the humans we know and roll our eyes to?
Accy ?We have a thread in Mod Central to let each other know who/why someone has been banned. By a mile, the most common entry is;
Username
Temp
Accy.
Very occasionally there is a longer entry when someone has been well off beam. But its rare, which is why when it does happen, (like recently), it provokes an interest.

I reckon you’ve got a betting racket in mid central. Odds per poster.Accumulated points for swearing, off topic, etc.

I'm all in favour of more work for other people! Bring it on!I don't think that would work. If you have that you should also have something like an independent objection committee (not mods, above them), since you'll probably have people complaining about a diverse treatment for similar offences etc. The banning/warning procedure would also become more rigid.
In short: more work for mods.
