I've known copious amounts of times when statements have been slightly altered, so people giving evidence have a comical middle name inserted.When I worked for a Solicitors, one of the lads I worked with, really hated one of the Solicitors, to the point that he left the firm because of her.
On his last day, he "doctored " a file that was due in court for a hearing in the afternoon, so it`d been vetted and proof read already.
In the summary of the case, he removed the Solicitors name where ever it was mentioned and inserted - " Knob Head " instead.
This was only picked up when the summary was read out at the start of proceedings by the Solicitor himself
