A narrow boat?

We hired one for a stag weekend and it was a blast, but a bit claustraphobic. However there was 10 of us on a boat with 6 beds.

I can certainly see the attraction. Just not sure it’s for me.

We hired one for a stag weekend and it was a blast, but a bit claustraphobic. However there was 10 of us on a boat with 6 beds.

I can certainly see the attraction. Just not sure it’s for me.

Yeah I'd find a narrow boat a bit if a squeeze too - although they feel plenty different with just 1 or 2 on board. Mines a 12' beam barge and the lounge is as big as the lounge of an average house.

Is that one of those barges which looks a bit like two narrow boats stuck together? They looked decent but obviously a bit more difficult to manoeuvre. Trying to turn around a 20 tonne boat with a group of pissed late twenties/early thirties was a struggle. Bloody fun though.

Nah its a 1904 dutch barge. 27 tonnes, but easy to manoeuvre (single handed) after a bit of practice.
