minor things that make you fume

That a financial advisor I know got black marked because he conned an old lady so couldn't get work. He is now retraining as an accountant and because its got a different regulatory body he has a clean record. He will once again be able to con people as he can get work unchecked. It stinks because the old lady passed away and part of it was due to the stress of the incident!

Surely whoever regulates accountants has to delve into his past before he is allowed to trade?

Lets hope so. He is training with an old guy with view to buying the business. The old guy has no clue. Its wrong on so many levels maybe like you say there will be some sort of check. However it might be spent by then doesn't change the fact he's a con man who changed industries to evade checks.

Oh believe me when I say he has no need to change industries to keep conning folk. Not even a little bit.

The unpredictability and unreliability of having to deal with the public:

Me: selling a 3 phase motor on FB marketplace, at half what it's worth.
Agreed time to meet 9.30
Current time 10.54..... No show, no message, no courtesy or consideration.

Fecking public!

Had this issue a few times when selling things. It's perfectly understandable if the buyer has changed their minds but why can't they just let you know? What is even more strange is that they then ignore your messages asking if they are still coming.

This utter blert gave the excuse that life got in the way. I responded that that happens, but courtesy should have resulted in a simple message. I politely explained that I had to down tools for an hour so that I could hear a knock at the door and had time to some inconvenience.

Like a mug we arranged a time for the next day and yet again he didn't show. And people think I'm unreasonable for detesting the public!

Boil the kettle and put the hard butter above the steam
@kev Don't put it in the fridge. Unless you only use it once every 3 mths, butter is perfectly safe out side in a covered container.
I dont know what temp it is where you are, or how hot you heat your house. But here in Brisbane I only put the butter away if it goes into the high 20's centigrade to stop it going to oil.

Just had some work done in the kitchen. Paid the electrician and plumber by bank transfer. I texted them both, asking them to confirm that the funds had gone through ok. Eight days later and neither of them has bothered to send a text that would take 10 seconds.

A response would likely be a form of receipt, for tax purposes. Cash appearing in their bank could be anything, a returned loan etc. Crooks!

i'm no expert on taxes, its just a guess.
