minor things that make you fume

Looking up the best ways to get my lawn to grow.

What happened to me?
September - on your lawn -
Scarifying it - hire one depending on the size if it is small use a hand scarifyer -
Hollow tine it or just spike it with a fork
Provide an autumn winter feed on your lawn -
Then put 1/2 an inch of top soil all over you lawn after this process and oversow with grass seed raking it in making sure it's then watered in dry spells
Following spring you will have a fantastic lawn ;)

Been looking at hollow tines this morning, soil is really compacted from years of neglect - always been told its better to use hollow tine otherwise your just compacting more soil. Almost filled the garden bin with moss that I've taken off the lawn. Has been overgrown pretty much the last 12 months as I haven't had time to do much. Probably need to dig some bits up next to the fence where it got disturbed when the neighbours had the fence changed - lot of weeds, tempted just to take it out then returf it.

No need to re turf it expensive - cut it low if its long use a strimmer then it let it grow an inch then weed and feed it for now - then hollow tine it in September as I listed use a Bents Fescue seed with a very small percentage of rye grass in it your lawn will be like a bowling green next spring - the turf you will get will be full of amenity rye grass crap ....
Don't use the grass @COYBL25 smokes he's even tried smoking Astro turf lol
