My CEO has just sent out an email saying a few of us (himself included) have to travel to our Brisbane factory all next week as it is not performing well. Normally not an issue, but it is my son’s birthday on Tuesday and I fly out on holiday on Friday.
Now I have to try and get out of this trip while maintaining I still have the company’s best interests at heart.

"It's my son's birthday and I'm going on holiday, sorry can't make this one" ought to do it.

Publicity for their upcoming dance series. The BBC is now outdoing commercial organisations in getting its brand out there. If you listen to five live for any length of time you notice the presenters constantly push it. Annoying but that's business.
