Absolute mess of a situation that.

Will be thousands that will need bringing home, much worse than the Monarch collapse a few years back.

Seen reports of close to 180,000 people could be left stranded abroad. Absolute mess of a situation. I’m quite lucky because I weren’t due to go til end of October. At least it gives us time to prepare for not going. All those people who are currently on holiday, it could be ruined for them at the fear of not getting home anytime soon.

Ticket touts.

Tried to get Weezer tickets and didnt get through to see tickets being sold instantly on resale for twice the price. Scum of the earth parasites.

I reckon a lot of companies who manage the artists are in on it too to a degree. Robbie Williams’ company have been accused of it before.

I have been. In The Grenadines, or rather, on them iirc. Not for that long, probably a few hours, but we were rescued by Mick Jaggers private jet. True story.

Wish it was, but sadly, it is a date. Coming back from Singapore for demob from National Service. Suez canal still closed, had to go round the Cape. Stopped at Mauritius, had one day's shore leave. Took 42 days the troop ship 'cruise'!

I got stranded in Bangkok for six weeks when the yellow shirts decided to take over the airport, then the city centre of Bangkok, which ended with the army on the streets with tanks and guns and popping random people off ...

Why do we bother?
Just witnessed a group of travellers, you know, luxury trailer caravans, latest 4x4 trucks etc attempting to access a school playing field. A group of locals were on the phone via 101 to tell police what was going on. Plod insisting no action can be taken unless criminal damage in process. When told that fences were being torn down and vehicles driven over pavements they said the Council would be informed to issue eviction notices.

I can’t stand the people who say they’re doing no harm and to leave them alone. The same people probably wonder why the roads are full of pot holes etc. and berate the council for it after they’ve spending tens of thousands of pounds to remove them/clean up after them.
