minor things that make you fume

Senior managers eh.

About a month ago I had a meeting with one of the senior managers who asked me why X,Y and Z wasn’t done. I had been working 60-70 hours a week by this point trying to complete the project (which I explained to him) but I still couldn’t keep on top of it due to lax management above mean. I was told I wasn’t working hard enough so I stopped doing overtime and it ended up taking a lot longer than it would have done. Did me a favour in a way.

Even had that along the way as well sadly. Asking for something to be done in an hour, took me 3 days and I'm quick.

Part of me wishes I had not taken the project on to begin with much like you. No idea what state it would have been in by now but lesson learned for the future.

I’ve learned the hard way that when you’re being overworked you need to speak up and ensure you’re recognised for it and measured against it so you can mention it in your annual review. There is no point otherwise.

That's my weakness, I can go the extra miles, do more hours and cover people's arses but I struggle to shout about it, it's just not me.

Place has become a joke. The Kopites have truly taken over the asylum.

I'll hopefully see some of you on another forum. Some great posters on here, even the utter knob jockeys such as frang and astonian etc. gave me a laugh, but GOT Iis officially dead for me now and I'm out of here. :bye: Shame really as this used to be a great forum
