minor things that make you fume

Needed to use a courier service for a big box today.
Got a price online and as I went to check out it offered insurance.
Having read how @roydo used to operate I decided to take the insurance but it bumped the price up to £73.
FFS.

"Insurance". Driver pays mate. Would do without "insurance" if there was a dispute.

edit. Royal Mail notwithstanding.

Sake I've paid it now.
TNT I've used, don't tell me there a bunch of cowboys.

They are sound mate.

If it was delivered broken, or left in a pond, or "signed" for, (y'know) they would pay out, no issue. But ultimately, chances are they would get it back from the driver.

Next door neighbour mowing his lawn on his pathetic, ride on John Deere with a 'belly' mowing deck. Thinks he is on a Harley. Every time he goes around he goes anticlockwise and shoots all the clippings into our flower beds. Would it be so hard to go clockwise easy rider?

Once again I'm well and truly astounded by the obstinacy/stupidity/laziness by motorists queueing for fuel at our local Sainsbury superstore. Queueing because the insistence of getting the pump on the side of the fuel tank. Pumps not being used because the nozzle is on the "wrong " side causing unecessary hold ups. Sainsbury have big notice "extra long hoses use both sides". The dirty looks I got as I took the initiative and pulled out of the line and used one of the vacant pumps!

I love this - makes it easy and quick to get a pump. Straight to a pump, pull it over the "wrong" side of my van and be on my way while someone in a 3 door Seat Ibiza sit in a queue for the "right" side despite having got there before me.

Good old Blighty! It takes more than a pesky pandemic to change first world behaviour. We should celebrate it really.
