minor things that make you fume

I love my work friends, but christ some of them are as thick as planks.

Every week, without fail, one of them posts some nonsense WhatsApp/Facebook hoax onto the group chat with no effort to actually check if it's real or not.
And every time it's up to me to go on one of my rants about it taking 10 seconds to copy it into google first... but no, I just get the same "PMSL x" reply...

:rolleyes::rant:

Wake up mate!

How on earth did people stay alive in the hundreds of thousands of years before latex gloves? Ah right - an evolved immune system.
I want to be sure that what I eat doesn't have traces of whatever got onto your hands and under your fingernails before you started preparing it.

Have you ever thought about the bacteria on phones, coins, door handles, remote controls, etc? What about mixing food with rings on your fingers?

I'm not talking about staying alive.

But how often do people get ill from all that? Is it worth the fuss, paranoia, worry? An immune system needs exercise after all. They're everywhere mate. You have more bacterial cells in your body than you have human cells.

While I do mostly agree with your point about the wonderful human immune system and in most cases we're fine, personal hygiene can still be a bit of an issue.

I remember reading about a study where the NHS took samples of nuts from pubs, when they were regularly free on the bar, and analysed the samples.

Lots of examples of piss and faeces from many different people (vaguely remember fourteen) and let's be honest that isn't a pleasant thought.

Wood lice.
Cant escape the horrible little things at the moment.
Add to this the fact that I think they are a version of Satan's little helpers. I hate the little beings and send shudders through me whenever I see one. That in itself is bad enough but when a whole colony falls on me when I'm creating havoc in the garden, you can hear my obscenities for miles around.
They are the reason I'm trying to stay on the straight and narrow for fear of eternal damnation if I stray.
