Yeah. Its not like Thatchers cider level, but about 10 apple/pear trees is the back garden.
Fair play. We have an apple and a pear tree, but they're only quite small. I had visions of Roydo Manor being immense.

Nah, its not really. Its a bungalow built by a farmer after the war to house farm workers getting stuff going again, so he plonked it in a meadow, and lobbed some fruit trees up.

You can freeze apples, peel, slice and put them on a tray in the freezer. You can also make chunky apple sauce, depending on how sour the apples are, just peel, chop and bung in a pan with a little water and sugar to taste. Apple pies for the next year.
I've just upgraded my phone from am S9+ to an S20 5G and I've now realised when receiving the phone that there is no headphone jack on the phone.
Is the reason for that purely because the greedy scumbags want you to buy more stuff or is there a technical reason?

Way back in the 1960's, my boss was the accountant. He had several apple trees in his garden and told us that he had is wife manning a stall at the front of the house selling the apples.
My phone still has a headphone jack but I was bought a pair of fairly cheap bluetooth earphones as a present. Never going back - never realised how annoying that wire was until it was gone.
I think the technical reason might be that because bluetooth headphones are now widely available it presents the opportunity to get shut of the headphone jack and free up some valuable real estate. They're quite large, you can't make them smaller and they're quite prone to being one of the first parts to stop working properly.
