I am not a dog.that frigging squirrel in my back garden annoying the dog.
If you don't mind heights give rock climbing a go. Great for your back and generally great all round work out.Good shout, my mate's girlfriend says it's great. I'm having physio at the moment for a car accident I had last year. Sounds bad but I'm going to make the most of it! Physio is expensive!
I don't know anyone who uses fahrenheit, except for a few folks over 60. I'm nearly 40 and I couldn't even convert celsius into fahrenheit. Is this a regional thing?Liverpool mate.
Everyone I grew up with, go to work with and have ever met all use Fahrenheit when describing how hot it is.
'How hot is it in Spain mate?'
'It's well into the nineties lad - sweating 'ere.'
If it was Celsius he'd be screaming, 'for the love of god somebody help me!'
Honestly only ever heard people use Celsius in academic circles and the news (by the way, I'm not disputing that the UK changed the measurement scale an age ago, it's just nobody seems to use Celsius when describing the weather).
You're bang on, of course. But why go to Currys for a telly - everyone knows they are all window-lickers in there. Get yourself down to Richer Sounds or somewhere like that.Shop staff that don't even try to look arsed. Just been to Currys to get a new telly and the service was that bad I nearly walked out. I know its a crap job and the pay is gash, but the very least I expect is a bit of politeness.
my team talk about their weight in kilos and their height in centimetres
How big is your length?See now I do weight in pounds and stone but length in centimetres.
I'm just all kinds of messed up.

I am fully aware of all the different units of measurement, I must just default to certain ones without any rhyme or reason. At work weights and height are always metric...convert those without thinking about it at this point.
But they do it for US cities as well, Los Angeles California. It's probably because there are so many US states with towns the same name (there's tons of Springfields for example). When American tv shows, when mentioning a foreign city, always append the country - London, England for example
If they just said 'Birmingham', then they'd all assume they meant the one in Alabama. Tbf, they should've come up with some original place names. When American tv shows, when mentioning a foreign city, always append the country - London, England for example
