Even at 6am there has to be someone there before me, someone will walk up to it as i get there or just be there at ungodly times.

Walk up to a cash machine, someone is using it. See a vacant cash machine across the street. Get there just as an entire family descend upon it. Turn back to other machine to see the queue is now 3 people long and the first person walking away.
