minor things that make you fume

Golf is so frustrating, Last summer I thought I'd have another crack at it after not playing for years, went up to the driving range, I was hooking everything badly, decided to have a lesson with the course pro, cost me £30, he put some stickers on the club and set some cameras to assess my swing etc. A few tweaks and adjustments to my stance and I was sorted, spent the next 40 minutes hitting the ball further and straighter than I ever have before, I was buzzing. Went for a round the next day with my mate, confidence high, I can tea off straight now this is gonna be fun I thought, first tea, whack, ball boomerangs into the car park, wounded! and thus my round continued, haven't played since. :)

Weirdly I've been fairly decent on the driving range. I reckon I get a good connection on 90% of my shots. I get out on the course though and it's a totally different matter.

At least my chipping was decent yesterday. The only saving grace. I got myself a 60 degree lob wedge a few years ago and it's quite handy.

I hit the irons fairly well, apart from the low irons uphill that always does me for some reason, it's driving of the tee that I really struggle with though, I always try and hit the skin off the ball, swinging far too fast, I know I'm doing it but I can't seem to stop it. There is always a que at the first tee as well the pressure gets to me and out comes the boomerang, once its gone tits up on the first it just goes down hill from there.

First shot yesterday went straight in to the bushes. I couldn't be bothered looking for it though so just dropped one and tee'd off again. Great start hey! The hole went well besides that but then the 2nd was an absolute disaster. Ruined my round straight away. It's crazy how psychological golf is. I don't know if I have the temperament for it to be honest.

First tee nerves are absolutely horrible! I usually just go with a 3 iron off the tee as like you I boomerang any shot with a driver/wood. I couldn't even do that yesterday though.

Yer definitely half the battle is definitely in the head, at the least even when it's all going wrong it's a good walk around in the countryside on a nice day.

Can I re add the absolute melons that appear to have a meltdown when faced with a cashpoint again?

The tip. Bellends not following rules. Parking in wrong place. Blocking up the exit. Driving in cars the size of buses.
making the whole experience even worse. Do what your supposed to. Save everyones time.

the radio in work.

Our half of the office is filled with middle aged women so every time a decent station is put on it is soon changed to Smooth F.M.

My god that station is depressing!

The bellwhiff next door using his power tools at 7pm on a Sunday. Absolute belter.

7pm? That's hardly a heinous crime, unless it lasts for hours.

My folks had to move out of a house they had only lived in for 6 months after the neighbour would start drilling at 3am and carry on til dawn.
