minor things that make you fume

I think some vets still do, but must do the injection now. Much easier, less mess and very little pain. Took mine for a walk half an hour after getting it done
We are jibbing our vets, won't name them on here it's not fair but they've changed from a family run affair to a franchise, lost a load of boss nurses and replaced them with absolute robots.
He hasn't been for 12 months but the last couple of experiences with them was unsavoury, trying to force us to buy products based on a hunch on diagnosis etc.

Any recommendations? L4 based but will travel for a boss vet.

A good mates missus is a vet, the one man band vet practices are being put out of business by chain franchise vets - Pets at Home etc

They aren't regulated in the same way as say a GP. The vets in these places are salaried and also get commission from the drug companies for selling their products, hence why they tried to flog you loads of stuff that you didn't need.

I can recommend one by us in Woolton - Village Vets, in Quarry Street, the head vet ( Alan ) is a bit odd , but won't rip you and is spot on .

I had enough rows with them trying to push Royal Canin muck on me when I first got him, he's raw fed and that's it. They warned me I'd die of salmonella from feeding him raw meat but unfortunately for them my bird is a bit of a fiend for research and that and killed it dead as soon as their sales commission was mentioned.
I just want a vet who will treat him if he needs it, not try and push their uneccesary drugs on him and be eyeing up my credit card!
I pay £50 a month on his insurance ffs, I wouldn't ever skimp on him so don't try and force your nonsense on me

Sorry to hear about that kid, I don't know what I'd do when it's my lads time.
It was gutting but he had a boss long life (14 years) it would of been unfair and cruel keeping him alive .

The new one is boss though and thankfully a totally different character to the last one . I didn't want them to be similar so they don't get compared to each other .

My worry (I'm a pure panicker our lad is only 2) is that when we get another I won't love it like I do him. He's my first ever dog, my birds had dogs all her life.
