The oven. Fan element blew a while back, Howdens want £120+ to replace it, found the element at an electrical outlet for £20, youtube tutorial looks a doddle.

I take the fan guard off, only to find the bloody element is screwed in from the back. Ok, so I pull the oven out to find a completely sealed up unit, that'll take a good 20 screws to undo, and even then I'm not certain I'll be able to replace it.

Why do manufacturers have to do this? I appreciate it's a money money money world, but the way they lock you into grossly expensive repair jobs when we're perfectly capable of doing it ourselves if only they'd design their products in a way that allow it.

Very much like the cartel going on with car manufacturers and garages. My dad fixed everything on our cars. Now you can't even take the brakepads off without a computer.

On some new cars you have to take the car to a mechanics just to change a bulb. It's scandalous. Makes me appreciate having a simple little car. No good for picking up ladies though.

Yeah i know, just annoying when i go in to pick up a takeaway meal forgetting its cash only then have to go get cash and come back to get the food.

It is outdated and in need of a big refurb. Was there about three weeks ago looking at it for a conference. One of the worst venues I have ever seen. You are probably comparing it to The Hippodrome..
