minor things that make you fume


I've just did the same with jeans.

You'd feel a right tight-arse turning back from the counter. It is unfair.

Don't see why. If I know I can get something cheaper somewhere else , I make a point of telling the staff.

If not I tell them I'll think about it, look at something else, and do the frank bough without buying it/them - unless I buy something else instead, of course.

You're the customer. It's your choice, and you're not obliged.
 
never have a problem with that, just tell them pointblank it's too expensive and carry on looking. it's over in a flash, your wallet is saved and no one cares either way.

That's all well and good beforehand, not when queued up for ages and at the counter.

Jeans I thought would be around £40 turned out to be £75.
