Couldn't agree more.

Its incredibly sad that two mega companies have so much money at their disposal for their advertising, that through their adverts over the years, they've actually been able to " insert " themselves into people's lives as being part of Christmas.

It is exactly that. It's very sad. Consumerism epitomised.

I don't mind John Lewis though because they're a step above most companies in terms of customer service. It's the fawning over the advert that makes me cringe.

The 2 hour weekly meeting I have with 50+ builders. It's absolute torture. People talking, laughing, sniggering, making 'funny' remarks at everything the speaker is saying. It's worse than being in school. The same people then complain that the meeting takes longer than it needs to, despite being told to pipe down numerous times.
