Minor things that make you happy

A warm summers evening, watching the sun set, a decent wine, cold meats, cheese, garlic bread, salad and a Cigar.

A time to live.
I'm sat off outside here.
Full of BBQ scoff, a good drink, just perfect end to a smashing Father's Day.
Still dead hot and I may put a few tunes on in a bit as well.
Nothing lairy, just chilled.
I'd love the cigar you mention, but it would get me right back on the bifters and I'm done with them.

raising a wry smile at the UK residents and their problems with a 'hot' summer.

Just you wait till we have an inch of snow. Place grinds to a halt.

But that said, delivered a parcel to a South African lad today. Even he said its really hot.

With not a breath of wind. Like a flaming oven.

Nice sea breeze down on the Meols/Hoylake promenade the last two afternoons when I've been out.

Ah, my childhood that.

Grandparents lived in Drummond Road, Aunt and Uncle in Garden Hay Road. Just loved walking through the park to the front. In my days there was a massive, (to a 7 year old anyrate) lido sort of swimming pool. Expect its gone now.

In other news, I paid for a young lads lunch today. He was at the self service checkout, and did not have a clue. (Its near the immigration place we have, so reckon he had popped over for a a sarnie).

Anyrate, he had no idea how to find the item he wanted to pay for, a bagel/roll, then when I done that for him, he had no credit on his pre charged debit card thing.

He was dead worried, but it was only £1.00, so paid it for him.

Made me feel nice. Especially when he said "You are a good man, thank you my friend."

Ickle things.

He might tell the tale to his parents, or wife, and if he is a new comer to the UK, in these testing times, he knows we aint all nasty.

My petulant house mate who's ignored me for the last 3 weeks for some unknown reason is moving out in just over 2 weeks and I am counting down the days. I can't fkng wait.
