I still can't believe the tracked me down last year for not paying back 3 crisis loans from 1995.
Incredible that. Fair play, they did take it all back out me wages eventually.

It's got to have cost them more in admin, labour costs etc than the actual loans ??????

I posted about it in the fume thread. It was an odd phone conversation with them. I asked the lad if he was keeping a straight face asking me for money from over 20 years ago ? It was about £230 in total. Easy enough for them to get back direct from my wages.
I believe they outsourced / sold the recovery of civil debts like this to private companies and they took a chunk of whatever they recovered - same as private baliifs.
Hence why they didn't right it off

If it was a debt collection agency, I'd have swerved it. Statute Barred as time too long im sure.

They done me for £500 odd last year from about 10 years ago, ruthless they are.

Yeah and now I've got to leave 20 mins earlier to get to work at a reasonable hour again, as I learnt to my cost this morning.
Get them all on the bus, they don't need mummy and daddy holding their hand in their 4x4 to go a couple of miles down the road.
Think they outsourced the really difficult ones - too time consuming tracking claimants down.
A couple of years ago, they got a lad by us, for non payment of Poll Tax.
Now that's what I call tenacity
