Minor things that make you happy

Do they attach the crank to anything during those tests or run engine under no stress.. If ya get what I mean!
In that vid they say they load the engine and run it for 100,000 km got reliability testing. Also that engine is structural, do it had to be able to cope with the extra loading from the car driving as well (acceleration, braking and cornering)

Cheers.

Having an unloaded engine revving like that I'd expect an explosion!

My daughter has a tiny Christmas list, but one thing was to adopt an animal, when I asked her what particular type of animal, she said a SABRE TOOTHED TIGER!! She was serious, totally unaware that they became extinct 12,000 years ago.

Brilliant

What's the next best animal then??

Just got a call from my "bestie" (sorry), he had a hip replacement at 43 a month ago, it got infected so they whipped it out and put another one in, then the infection spread to his actual hip and he was told he will need a third hip and will be on meds for life to control the infection and will have numerous hips over the course of his life. Anyway, just called they are letting him out, infectio has GONE, on his sons birthday too!! Was looking like being there for christmas but he has got lucky.
A good day indeed

bol-uk, My mate had the same problem. Hip replacement, infection, another hip replacement. This went on for 6 or 7 years, couldn't get rid of infection, in and out of hospital. He's no longer with us.
