When you've got boss biscuits for your cup of tea (Fox's Butter Crinkles). I spent a good 6 hours yesterday just thinking about having these biscuits with my tea when I got in. Didn't disappoint.

Just been in Tesco to pick up a few bits and the amount of men running around with flowers and cards was amazing. It was quite entertaining to watch, I may go back next year with some popcorn.

When you have a competent manager who sells all the flowers he has ordered in, and fellas are kicking off at 7pm cos there isn't any flowers or nice cards left is far, far more entertaining..

Getting a promotion (which the boss told me about a few weeks ago). Hoped for a 15-20% pay rise, was expecting 10%. Gave me 45%

Well done that man. Reminded me that back in 1976 I got my biggest promotion ever. I was manager of a department of 30 people and my promotion resulted in multiple departments of over 100 people. The Labour government at the time had introduced a pay freeze. You could get an increase for promotions but they were severely restricted. I got £8 quid a week. The only consolation was that my company car went from a Morris Marina to a Rover 2.0 TC.lol
