Minor things that make you happy

Got me an old table saw to restore and rebuild.

My modern one has started throwing off the electrics, plus it sounds horrendous.

In its place a cast iron bed belt driven beauty. Rust as hell but ready to be stripped and restored.

Something to do over lockdown II and infinitely better than tv. :)

Hope you are doing it in the lounge so as not to disturb anyone.

So far its in a few bits in my workshop. However u can't test anything electrically because if it pops the power the missus is (as many are) working at home and on a computer meeting.

My home, my electricity - I have to stop working because her work is using it. The new normal.

Shot a 4 over par 76 today. Personal best from out of nowhere based on the last couple of rounds I've played.

Knowing I had a chance and closing out par, birdie, birdie, par defeated the mental midget that I usually am. Personal best by 4 strokes on a par 72 course.
That’s fantastic!
Golf is such an interesting game. These excellent rounds (or shots) often come when we least expect them

Good round that. I gave up playing 5 years ago (age 79). My best ever round was a 76, but was on a par 70 course. Played a 4 handicapper in match play. He played to his handicap and lost 6 and 4. I got chopped 4 shots by the handicap committee (of which my opponent was chairman!)
