Minor things that make you happy

Was able to sit in a comfy chair toasty warm and watch it snow (one of my most favorite things ever). Now have a couple inches on the ground and because I live in an area that rarely sees snow and can’t deal with it when it does, I have a day off work.

I'm in an area where it snows quite often during the winter and "the snow surprised us again this year" is a line on the news every time it snows.

Love to watch it snow though, tranquil. As is a walk in the fresh snow at night, everything is so quiet.

Too cold out there! I’ve lived here long enough to get rid of snow/cold weather appropriate clothes.

Glad I'm a foodie and don't mind cooking...having a liquid, salt, potassium and protein limit now, until I can receive a kidney transplant (3-5 years, unless a living donor is found), really narrows your menu.

If I didn't like fish, veggies or fruit I'd seemingly be living on water and sauceless pasta.

My clannad album (their first one ... quite hard to find) on vinyl has turned up in the post today. I like their earlier, less over-produced / commercial stuff.

The extension bars I made and welded together for my ancient table top saw are finished and work beautifull, allowing me to cut much wider boards with precision.

The missus now has a "new" shiny, freshly valeted car, meaning she no longer needs to use mine, meaning that the minute she gets home I can collect all the crap she's left in mine and dump it in hers.

I was in the kitchen earlier cooking tea with the mrs (we don’t have a frying pan ha ha) and I was singing a song “Blue sky, nothing but blue sky” and I was trying to remember where I’d heard it before remembering it was on the film Patch Adams, anyhow, I was just scrolling through the channels to see what films are on later tonight.. lo and behold … Patch Adams is on ….. I might start singing “ winning lottery numbers Saturday” tomorrow morning.
