Mirallas return

Baffled as to why he was starting this game. It was such an an obvious risk. Has he played a couple of full games in the reserves to demonstrate his fitness? I think not.

Anyone with any sense would have started Oviedo, who has looked lively every time he's come on, and given Mirallas 30 minutes in the second half. Why on earth would you rush such a pacy player back from a hamstring injury?

Utter stupidity from Moyes.

Why don't we just pay his wages for the remainder of his contract and don't play him at all? That way at least, we can stop blaming Moyes for rushing him back.

Now, can we please bring back Landon Donovan?

Didn't he last longer against Southanpton than he did today?

Even if he started a reserve game there's no guarantee he wouldn't have suffered the same problem then.

Sure Moyes does seem to prefer playing a half fit regular than any other option but none of us know what condition Mirallas was actually in and what the actual problem is.

Including our medical staff it seems.

Agreed mate, but its not good at all.

There's only one way to judge the decision to play him in this fixture - did he come through it?

Obviously breaking down inside 17 minutes answers that question with an emphatic 'no'.

Maybe it's down to the physique of the player and we signed an injury prone crock? Still find it strange blaming Moyes over this. His medical staff will surely have told him he was ready? I'm starting to get very afraid Mirallas will prove to be our new Vaughan.

It's not Moyes' fault, But we haven't signed an 'injury prone crock' anyone who says that i find to be quite moronic, He has NEVER been 'injury prone' in his life. Like people have said over a thousand times, It is his body adapting to a much stronger, Faster and more physically demanding league, Players like him have these problems and it takes a while to adapt.

I know he hasn't been injury prone in the past and do agree with a lot of what you say in this post, but maybe he'll never adapt to this league. Everyone on here was asking for his return. No one knows whatwas behind the decision of Moyes to start him today. Might have taken him off at half time. The lad needs match practise, sadly it backfired.

Moyes said yesterday that it's very difficult to judge these things about bringing a player back. Well it was his call and it was wrong. Bottom line.

Maybe he wont ever adapt to the league, The truth is he probably will, Though with niggling injuries, Just like Walcott etc, It's a shame because he's one of our most talented players 'when fit' just a shame this season will be a write off for him, We need to get a specialist to work specifically with him every day, Because he is that important to us.
