Out of the players we have signed from Wigan McCarthy makes the most sense. He bought him in as a kid and basically moulded him into the exact player that he wanted. What we look for in players isnt what managers look for in players clearly.

I rate McCarthy tbh, I think he will prove to be a fans favourite tbh, we all love a grafter who does the donkey work.

Also Robels - Martinez had tracked him for a couple of seasons before he got him on loan from Athletico...he made sense as well.

People need to stop 5hitting themselves that weve got Wigans spine. Fact is, good players get relegated from time to time. Then the good ones come back up into the prem because they are at that level.

Whatever happens and whoever comes or goes we just have to be patient and back the manager and his system. Heard some terrible shouts again after Cardiff this weekend. Proper kopite behaviour.

Agree completely. Astounding how many people have the knives out already. Watch out though, hktoffee is about and he's sensitive to the use of the k word.

Not as seriously as you. Call someone you never meet to stop pretending to support Everton because I don't rate players from another club i.e do not share the same opinion with you. You are like communist...keep slating others who are not your pal.
 

McCarthy is quality don't worry about that. He'll soon prove it too and make many on here eat their words and look a bit silly.

Yes, we'll probably pay over the odds, but it's deadline day so you'd expect to pay a premium.

Unless you're buying from us probably...

Bruno Martins Indi -- left sided left footed centre back whose a ball playing defender and a beast in the tackle ?

That's what I've been reading on here -- is that a good appraisal ? Could be competition for Distin and Baines ?

What kind of figures are we talking ?
