This has been raised before, but quite often when I type and look up at the screen to see what I have written, several of the characters are missing. It only ever happens on this forum since the change a couple of months back. I think a couple of other users had this issue too but not sure if it was resolved for some browsers?
Is there anything that can be done about this?

Cheers mate, as expected really.

That was developed in 2008, and 5/6 years is an eternity when it comes to internet browsers - Microsoft themselves don't even support that browser any longer.

In the year prior moving to this forum, less than 1% of our traffic used IE8 and we really need to evolve and move on as the internet progresses and the standard editor on here is jquery and no bolt on would allow it to work as it should with IE8.

Shouldn't show favoritism but you've been here since day 1 so I'd really have liked to have sorted but other than hurling abuse at your work IT, there's nothing I can do.

I thought that may be the case, and understand that you can't support every old browser.
I'll see if they can give me some special privileges to upgrade - need to find a work related website that won't load and claim I need it for that.

Thanks anyway

Just got the go ahead from IT to download Chrome as that seems to be the most popular one.
Oh yeah, this is better. Loads faster, no missing letters. I am finally in the 21st century ;)
