All in all a very easy victory for Colby.

For the life of me i cannot understand why he just casually stood back and watched Covington recover. After losing the previous 3 rounds he knew he needed to stop Covington. That was his chance after knocking him to his knees in the 4th with a clean hook. Sure Covington wore him down and he was exhausted, but i couldn't believe what i was seeing when Masvidal just stood there and allowed him to recover in the round. Unbelievable.
I also agree he is finished too. His age and the fact he only has 1 victory in the UFC against a top 10 ranked fighter, he has been exposed that he simply cannot hang with the elite in the sport.

Covington has insane stamina - must be so frustrating for him to be in the same division as Usman. But he’s such a bell of a bloke that I can’t say I’m too disappointed in that.
Masvidal’s Renaissance after till/askren/dias has hit the rocks - although losses to usman x2 and colby shouldn’t see him retire just yet. He can still talk himself into a decent fight - Diaz 2 maybe.
