I didn't watch the fight, yet my friend did and even he - an ardent Pimmlett fan - was shocked by the outcome of the unanimous decision.

'Could argue he didn't win a round, let alone the fight,' was his response. The whole build up however suggests he's the cash cow as to get a top bill already.
Aye, absolutely unbelievable decisions by the judges. I mean, unanimous in the face of actual facts speaks for itself. Maybe you could see one rogue judge see the fight differently than everybody else, but the UFC is dead set on fast-tracking him into being the new McGregor - Rogan has already started with the comparisons. Next thing I imagine they'll have him do will be to lose the nice guy act. It's no more than a reality show nowadays sadly, all because of $$$. Sad.

Reckon he has lost a lot of momentum this week.

That ridiculous attack at helwani followed up by a bang average performance where I think he lost every round.

McGregor for all of his many faults was a genuine beast at 145 - height, speed, power , good technique and great movement. I think Paddy is just walking towards a devastating KO, took so many shots last night - he takes those off a higher level operator and he gets put away.

I think he’s reached his limits currently - getting that much out of shape in between fights just means that he must have to spend camps cutting weight and not really improving his skills, getting into the top ten is a stretch for him.

Also. Stop eating during press conferences l!

My eldest showed me a video of him in a press conference eating a pasty or a pie and drinking a can. He burped during a live conference...

... and looked happy or even proud of it. I think he's upped the antics, but is actually coming across as your typical buck rather than a likeable rogue.

He really is insufferable. Has made himself look like a clown with his antics during the last week
I have to agree, and other than his mouth I just don’t see what is causing all the fuss. He looks bang average to me. I mean he’d kick my head in but considering how much he is hyping himself up it’s almost a little embarrassing when you compare it to how he actually performs. The first proper decent fighter he faces is going to make it impossible for the judges to fix the result.
I’ve always had my suspicions about the UFC with fight fixing, also sometimes fighters look like they blatantly throw a fight. And I don’t care what Rogan says. I remember a Cro Cop fight years ago and he did nothing just waited to get knocked out.
Back to Paddy, I also think he comes across really badly in his post fight interviews and rogan obs thinks he’s a dick. Connor can be an absolute bell but he was always waaaaaay more likeable than Paddy. Paddy likes a good cause and can talk a lot of sense about real life but he needs to keep his gob shut a bit and get on with trying to impress in the octagon. First wrestler that can punch and he’s toast. Not sure there’s a fight against any of the top 20 that he wins.
Having said all that I’d love it if he could succeed without all the nonsense. I’m sure he’s a decent lad underneath it all.
