In the UK i don't think the MMA crowd differs much from the Boxing crowd. I'd say the fanbase is most likely a bit younger and that's about it. You will find legions of coked up idiots who think they are well hard at both.

Fighting will always attract a disproportionate amount of wronguns relative to other sports.

With MMA not requiring any skills can you please upload a video of yourself doing a roundhouse kick in your mums basement, you should be able to nail it first time given there is no technique involved. Look forward to the upload

Why do some people get all defensive when it's pointed out that trying to decapitiate another human being with their feet is just wrong?

My theory is all these MMA people were bullied at school and never got over it.

Kicking someone in the face, butting them and smashing an elbow into their teeth is a technical sport.

All those feller's fighting in the Eagle and Child and The Crown years ago didn't realise they were actually mixed martial arts athletes rather than pissed thugs.

Bludgeoning someone with head, hands, feet and knees is just un-codified carnage.

I can see the technique in boxing, but MMA is just another name for street fighting.

It has no place in the pantheon of sport.
