Fine, I don't see the point in them keep coming up with new versions though if the 1st thing folks do is change it ?

At least there's the point that I'm allowed to as it is 'Pure Android' which is designed so that you can do such things, and no warranty issues to worry about.

What does this rom do exactly ?

It's a constant evolution of the system mate. Now things added and gash things sorted.

Custom roms just make the whole thing run better, how they operate, customisable themes, battery life etc. Up to you like.

Isn't that what Google do with Android though, by rights any problems in previous versions sorted and updated.

Best thing with this is you can install one without deleting the original and just switch back if you wish.

Imagine being 'allowed' to do it by the phones manufacturer.
Imagine not having to pay them for the privilege of installing something.
Imagine being allowed to do whatever you wish.

I was browsing that 'Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum sandy inlet' place today where they have those torrent things , and I saw Pro-Evolution 2012 for Android, so would it just be like bunging an mp3 onto my phone ? as in drag-drop-play to my hearts content ?

also saw an nds emulator for android as well

E-books as well, would I be able to use the kindle app for them or would I need to use another ebook reader ?

I was perusing an 'arl memory stick from my p-series s.e. today and found my 'Kopites are Gobshytes' mp3 which has now been installed, thinking of putting it on that Zedge as they have some Everton ringtones.... z-cars, forever Everton, spirit of the blues, grandoldteam, st.end.

Well yeah mate, just put it on your SDcard, get a file browser like "ASTRO file browser" and just press&hold and then press Install (or Open, don't really remember which)

*Note: you gotta have "Unknown sources" allowed in Settings->Applcations to let you install non-market stuff.

About the books: the Kindle App supports one file format only, and you can get a ton of books for it here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ . Also for a lot of other platforms and apps, etc. .

Also, send me some EFC ringtones and stuff, can't find any.... :( Or just drop links or something. Really would appreciate.

Is the problem that it keeps going to mobile version? I want to keep it on the normal page but it keeps switching to mobile. Not fussed though, all good.
