Mobile Problem

When you use this on a mobile there's a big problem.

If you quote a post and go to reply at the bottom of the quoted text then about five seconds or character types later the cursor shoots up the top of the screen into the quoted text and you end up typing over that instead.

It is honestly to the point now where I'm swerving using my phone to come on here.

Is there a fix or a mobile mode instead?

I have the same problem. Mine is a galaxy s3 on the stock Internet and latest android system.

I tend to not quote stuff on my phone either now days. Or if a paste something into this entry box it goes straight to the top of it, not where the cursor/text thing currently is. Not sure if that is connected or just me

The bundled browser? Or are you using something like Chrome or Firefox?

Ok, I just tested with a One X (rooted using CM 10.2) on Chrome and Firefox, an iPad with Safari and Chrome and an iPhone 4 with Safari and Chrome.

Not a single problem on any of them.

Yeah the phone one. Just used to opening it.

The above is an example of it changing when quoting btw. Started typing bang in the middle of the start of the quote.

Maybe try Firefox or Chrome and see if the problem still persists?

probably a good idea. Have chrome already on phone but can never be arsed with it. Plus the zoom doesn't work, where I double tap to zoom on stock browser it works but chrome seems to just fit the page and videos and stuff still stay small

Assume it's dependent on how the phone/connection loads the page, hence reluctance to have more posts per page as it would impact load.

When I test it works as I expect it to;





... Tested on 3G/Wifi and various devices and never have any 'jumping problem'. Are you saying the typing bit jumps to the top once you start typing?

Google Nexus 5, Dolphin Browser. Latest android version.

Its on 3G and happens ALL the time. Every time I quote a post and start typing about three or four seconds later the cursor will jump to the top and mong the quoted text up. Always in the middle of the username for some reason.

I have just installed Dolphin and tried it. It performs exactly as you describe. This seems to be a problem with the Dolphin browser (not necessarily with the browser itself, but with the forum and browser together), as when I try the exact same thing in FF/Chrome, it works as it is supposed to.
