Transfer Rumour Mohammed Kudus

Isn't the clubs fault. They haven't commented and have nothing to gain in doing so. Players are signed when they're signed.

Someone like Joyce has nothing to gain. It's odd numerous reputable sources calling it close if it isn't or never was. Have to wait and see really.

So you mean to say that clubs, like agents, never leak stuff out deliberately and never use other methods to get word out in order to gain? That clubs only do anything via their official communication channels?

That's pretty naive mate.

No I'm not saying that but what do they have to gain in doing so in setting supporters up for yet more frustration and disappointment?

A club could get away with phantom bids in the pre-internet era. They can't now with a 24 hour news cycle.

There was and/or is clearly something in the Kudus story, I think we can all agree on that. You can think that the club has some motivation for leaking that but it could also be leaked by anyone in the myriad of links in the chain for a potential transfer to happen. It hasn't done the player himself any harm at all this and I'd be looking in the direction of his camp for motive.

Said that the deal was close, Everton confident of doing the deal. Dominic King also - Kenwright's network. Picked up by Romano.

Never happened. Later comments from both player and Portugal suggested there was never much in it beyond a faint conversation. Certainly nothing advanced.

Basically the difference between me ringing up an estate agent and saying I am interested in a house and then never going to look at the house, have detailed discussions with the owners or bid for the house. But then I go and tell everyone I'm buying a house.
Yes that was true. They didn't say anything that was not true.

Things change very quickly in these deals.

They have to gain that they have bought themselves more time. They just needed to silence any protest at Goodison for today. 'Judge us at the end of the window', fans satisfied that things are happening when it's been quiet all week.

A young, exciting talent from abroad too. The kind of thing that gets fans buzzing.

Window closes without enough being done, they know that we will get behind the team as we will need to. Clap Bill when he appears on the screen. Rinse and repeat.

That’s massively far fatched, something the Luvvie would have got away with 10-15 years ago but not in the social media age
