Kean is by far our most promising player and personally i believe that he should take priority even above Dybala.
Paratici has been selling only our most promising players, but him and Spina ought to stay, because they would provide cover that we will need.
Normally i would be very upset by this sale, however, since his agent is Mino and only has one more year left in his contract and refused to extend, if this is the best way to tie him up, we could concede him for now and make this deal practically a loan deal, like Real did with Morata.
But only if the buy back clause is introduced and only if it's at 50mil tops.
If we are sacrificing him just to get Icardi, i will never forgive Paratici for this!!! "

Yes, to cream off a few bob.

Give me Howard Kendall doing a deal in an ale house car park any day of the week.
When Gary Ablett made the controversial decision to cross Stanley Park and leave Liverpool for Everton, Howard Kendall understood the pressures his new player would be facing – so he helped smooth the road.

In his autobiography “The Game Of My Life” Gary Ablett recalled: “Howard had suggested I meet him at Bellefield on a Saturday evening to finalise everything. He took me to his office which was about the size of a broom cupboard and poured a little drink for us both. ‘Listen, I’ve got to ring Graeme,’ he said, picking up the phone and punching in Graeme Souness’s number.

‘Graeme, it’s Howard. I’ve spoken to Gary. He does not want to do the deal.’

“Howard had a twinkle in his eye as he said that, moving the phone away from his mouth, covering the handset and smiling and winking at me across the desk while I looked on astonished. What was he up to? I just told him I’d sign, no problem.

“I could hear Graeme barking back down the line: ‘What do you mean, he doesn’t want to do the deal?’ Howard replied: ‘You are not offering him enough to go’ Graeme: ‘How much does he want?’ Howard: ‘Another £25,000.’

“There was a pause. ‘Okay, he can have it.’

“Just like that, Howard had got me an extra £25,000. Unbelievable. Howard had never discussed anything with me about what he did. He just did it off his own bat and I certainly wasn’t complaining. Goodness knows how many clubs he tried it on with"

Now that's how to do a deal..

Nice like, but how does a player we're signing from Liverpool get £25k from the selling club?

They just wanted rid of Ablett mate and paid him to leave.

This was before the likes of giving Sandro a 5 year deal for £100k a week kicked in.

I just hate modern footy, Jim White, agents, Instagram etc..
I've often wondered if people who grew up going the match in the 50s hated the 80s, when fees starting to rise, or what people from the 30s and 40s made of the 70s....etc is it like a generation thing. See if your young now, all this modern stuff is the norm as its all you have ever known.

See i hate it now, but i also recall how grim it was in the 80s waiting for highlights on Midweak Sport Special but first they show 10 minutes of ice skating from Northampton and a bit of speedway
