I honestly think he's far more suited to games against the top teams anyway. When he has the ability to press their defence back. Against teams we should be comfortably controlling the ball against, he isn't good enough, I agree.

But you can't deny he played well in the back half of last season.

Couldn't agree more with this. He will never be a 20 goal a season strike for a PL team, but he has a lot of attributes that support how we attack as a team and create space for others.

He shouldn't be our number 1 striker though.

Kean is not a RW. He can be an emergency LW but he is a mobile, modern CF in a front 3 who can work across the field and get in behind. If we buy him and try to make him play right of a front 3 and ask him to drop in and cover the RB it will be a huge waste of talent.
