...I’ve never really had a strong opinion on agents, or any particular agent. The thing is, they are a part of the modern game and many of the best and/or most promising footballers are from the same stables. You either have to work with these people or only work with the ones you think are most ethical.

In my view, you don’t cut off your nose to spite your face. It’s not so much about not dealing with Raiola, it’s more about how you deal with him. You keep to your values and you negotiate in a professional manner. Brand appears to have a level of respect.

Like it or not we have to deal with them as they control a huge part of the game. Personally I don’t care who we do business with as long as it brings success.

Raiola strikes me as particularly toadish, and while it's nice to be getting a good young talent into the team, we know it will only be a matter of time before he starts up his usual act

I wouldnt say Ravioli destabilised us for the Lukaku deal, Lukaku did, his head was always elsewhere. If speaking with slimey creatures like Ravioli gets us world class young talent, so be it. Rather us than somebody else.
