Most teams give a player a chance before they decide if he's good enough or not though.

We can't sell Kean for 50m go out and sign another young striker start him 3/4 times in the season and think that's enough to warrant judging him

Kean should be recalled after his loan and given another season with a fair chance and go from there
I don't think we've deemed Kean not good enough but given the way we play and what Kean was offering up it was best for both parties to loan him out, Especially to a league like Ligue 1 where he will undoubtedly get many chances to score due to having better players and teams being generally weaker than the Premiership.
Until Everton become a stronghold in the European places we're going to have to keep developing and selling talent because why would you settle for Everton when you can move to a bigger team.

But a total time of 900 minutes played in bits and bobs is not the same as 10 full games played. Or even getting 20 - 30 minutes at the end instead of 3, 7 or 12 minutes when we are losing and playing crap or starting and playing for 60-75 minutes.

Of course it's not but it's still 900 minutes on a footie pitch for a highly paid player to do something.

In the context of how those minutes on the pitch were divided up, I honestly don't think it's enough to write him off as not good enough for the premier league.

I don't think he's not good enough for the PL long term but right now I do. I watched him last night and he was just as bumbling and chaotic as with us but just with the added bonus of a goal.

Fair enough. He's defo got a lot of rough edges to his game. The type which can be sorted out with time and coaching.

From Goal.com:

Moise Kean has earned a comparison to current Manchester United star and former Paris Saint-Germain frontman Edinson Cavani, with Eric Rabesandratana disappointed that the Ligue 1 champions have no purchase option on the Everton loanee.

Having struggled for form and regular game time during a frustrating spell in England, the Italy international was allowed to head for the exits at Goodison Park over the summer.

Despite his difficulties on Merseyside, Kean’s stock remains high and PSG presented him with another prominent stage on which to perform. They have seen the former Juventus youngster reward their faith with five goals in seven appearances.

With Kean eager to prove himself in France, his tireless running and impressive end product has not gone unnoticed.

Those qualities have seen him likened to a proven performer who departed Parc des Princes just prior to his arrival, with Rabesandratana seeing similarities between a new recruit and the Uruguayan frontman who plundered 200 goals in 301 outings for PSG.

“When the ball is lost, he immediately starts to defend,” Rabesandratana told France Bleu Paris of a player who hobbled off injured in the 3-0 win over Rennes on Saturday.

“He reminds me a bit of Edinson Cavani in his mentality and effort. I hope he scores as many goals [as Cavani].

“We’ll be watching the next matches to see if he keeps that consistency, which is the most important thing at the top level.

“Kean will establish natural competition with [Mauro] Icardi, who will have to make an effort. That is good for the team. Unfortunately, we have no option to buy him at the end of the loan.”

Everton only sanctioned a season-long loan for Kean when allowing him to head out of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. The Toffees do not appear ready to give up on a hot prospect just yet, but it may be that their hand is forced by a player eager to forget his troubles in the Premier League.

Kean told Rai Sport when heading for Paris: “I am not particularly upset to have left English football, even if the banner from the Everton fans really moved me, as I wasn't expecting it.

“It's true, I could've returned to Juve, but I made this decision along with my family to play in Ligue 1. I've been to Paris before and have relatives here. I hope to learn a great deal from this fantastic experience. I am young, I like to work closely with top strikers, so I can learn from their experience and their style of football.”

His reference to having family in Paris was telling vis-a-vis the homesickness issues he has endured on Merseyside. And like Wisdom Lookman he won’t be coming back. Crab and Hank are two others who pine for home and I genuinely feel that when that yearning for the smells of home and the sound of your mum’s comforting voice is so overpowering, you’re best to just go home. Me? I don’t suffer homesickness...never have (despite coming from a wonderful home). But as I have got older, my empathy levels have increased, my understanding, and I no longer (necessarily) think of homesick people as big sooks. Having said that, I am not a fan of people suffering the ailment being allowed to eat soy.

I want him to succeed but I just don’t think he’s up to it. another Iwobi in my eyes (runs a lot but technically is awful and has cost a fair fee) Selling a player that young is always a risk though as he may come good and That’s the gamble

At the games I saw him play, the crowd, the players and everyone wanted him to succeed. No moaning and groaning, but genuine support. He just did not deliver.

Personally, I think he has what it takes, but he lost confidence because of not scoring (and therefore not playing) and the premier league genuinely is tougher than most leagues around the place - youngsters often struggle from overseas leagues, less so when they have grown up here. Cue, whole list of youngsters that have done well, but my sweeping statement is really quite a general one, all the ones that have succeeded have really been at the top of the game or played for clubs with genuine quality around them. We have only a bit of that, getting better, but still not throughout the team/squad.
