As I mentioned earlier, this is probably the problem.

In principle, the maximum amount that the club will have to sign will be 70 million euros. However, that amount could increase if the French side are capable of selling some players.

Fabrizio romano seems adament its just a loan. So God knows.

A player with a great future, proving his ability elsewhere, but not being able to hack the demands of the hardest league as a child- with 1 year left on contract? Why would we agree another loan to anyone let alone to a club bank rolled by oil? Only a complete gibbering moron would agree to that.

we also need to remember that Fabrizio Romano plays to his listeners who are largely the likes of United, Arsenal, PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid fans and he does spin news to reflect positively on those clubs.

The problem with PSG is probably that they cannot afford to buy MK due to FFP. They just got through the previous investigation after spending upwards of half a billion, was it, on Mbappe and Neymar and seem to have a focus on free agents, loans, and players approaching the end of their contracts.
That’s an interesting assessment if that’s the case then we might need some creativity

Everton need a transfer fee as far as I understand it, either sell one asset or a number of smaller deals. Hopefully we can get a decent fee for permanent transfer of Kean allowing us to keep our other better players.

Possible small fee outgoings that others would want?

Mason Holgate - English versatile and young.
Fabian Delph - some may see him as player that they need in their squad, probably relegation sides.
Iwobi - would have to take a big loss but could probably sell him.
Bernard and Tosun - low to no fee to shift the wages.
Tom Davies - squad player might be fancied by a ball playing team.
Jonjoe Kenny - probably a championship player might do well in a foreign league.
Gylfi Sigurdsson - aging player who could still command a fee might be something Everton consider, after a better season.
Andre Gomes - struggled with pace of premier league since injury would probably be available but on massive wages which Everton would probably have to subsidise for a foreign team.

Squads in a mess

Was it just me who found it potentially interesting that he liked the club's Insta post yesterday of the players returning to FF?
