If they really wanted him they'd have paid for him early on. Asking for a loan is just covering their bases til something better pops up. Something better has popped up, he's not going there imo. We're stuck with the sulk I reckon

At this point, I'd send him out on loan for a hefty loan fee, say £10m, and all the wages paid. It might be less than the £50m we wanted, but 2 years on loan to PSG with no wages paid, I'd imagine we would be close to breaking even already, and still with 2 years left on his contract. Anything we sell for after that is pure profit. His value would improve more playing with Messi and Neymar in that league than sitting on our bench sulking.
