2020/21 Moise Kean

The "problem" is/was that DCL had an insane amount of game time when he clearly wasn't ready to. Kean is getting nowhere near the same amount. And I understand why, DCL is scoring buckets at the moment. Just pointing out Kean may not be able to progress simply because he's not getting anywhere near the amount of time needed to progress. Last year at the end the last 4 matches would have been perfect to play Kean in to let him get SOME game time. I don't think he started any of them.
DCL earned that game time, Kean has not earned it. He doesn't seem to be able to provide much actually link up play to advance that attack.

I would sell if possible, just to cut our costs. He might end up being amazing, but I don't think it will happen here. He definitely isn't a lone striker and won't be starting on the right for us.

Going by Raiola’s quotes he’s trying to get him out. Player seems to want the move according to the media. I’d move him on if he wants to go but only on our terms.

It doesn't make a lot of sense this. Why go back to be (at best) 4th choice? Why would we be willng to let him go for £20m? What might be a "creative solution". Surely it is just pay the money or move on.

My own theory, is that Raoila wants to move him on. We are open to it, but at a certain price point and he is struggling to get that agreeent.

That being said, I know we looked at Kulusevski previously, I wonder if this talk may re-emerge as an option?

I hope we keep Kean, but Milik on a heavily cut price deal might be a good compromise.

I think Kean is just really homesick. He's a young lad, probably misses his friends and family from back home.

I just don't think he's settled.

Dcl didnt earn the game time. He was very poor in his first spell. He got 11 games out wide and was average at best. Kean has got no where near the consistent opportunities dcl got

the problem with people today is it's far easier to leave and be someone else's first choice than stay and fight to be no 1 where you are. Dom could have left over the last few seasons. He wasn't gifted that starting spot he's had to earn it and in that time he's seen players like Sandro, Cenk and even Kean be bought for big money or wages but he's worked hard and taken his chance.
Moise Kean is clearly a talented player but i'm not sure his has the fight that Dom had. He no doubt thinks it's probably easier to find another club. Add to that the longer he's 'failing' (failing is not the right word but you get what i mean) here the less likely it is his agent will make money on him and we know Mino Riola is all about making the money.

Demiral or Kulusevski. Who knows?

It may just be, for example if they to a loan to buy next summer, the sweetener may be a loan for Kulusevski or maybe a loan for Demiral (though he had a bad injury didn't he?)
If Juventus want to take back Kean on loan, they need to give us something in return.

Looking at their forwards, I just don't get it to be honest. They have Ronaldo, Dybala and have just brought in Morata. Rumours are they are still intent on bringing in Dzeko, and they also have Kulusevski. Even if they don't end up bringing Dzeko in, Kean will be at best 4th choice.

So that would make Kulusevski at best 5th choice. I'd definitely be looking to take him the other way if we could. He's the same age as Kean but is a left footer who likes to play on the right. He'd cover as third striker but could also do a job on the right in a 433 when we want to play James in a free role in behind.

Kulusevski is a winger, and they played Keane as a winger often.

But yes, they are baffling with the transfers at the moment.

What if its not Juventus but Napoli. Moise (perm) + money for Koulibally(perm) +milik on year loan. Moise gets to go back home and Carlo gets his spine of team all hes worked with and trusts and we don't have to buy another striker till next summer. City seem to have moved on from Koulibally..
