Moise Kean

If he is off back to Italy it will be interesting to see if his time here is viewed more like Materazzi’s and we are dreaming of what if, or if he’ll be more like Koldrup who disappeared in to oblivion….
He spent 6 years at Fiorentina and played in the Champions League...

You are right with the Materazzi thing I reckon, too young and not quite ready (though I thought Materazzi was generally fine for us) doesnt make him a bad player, I am sure he will come good with time but it wont be happening here.

None. He’s just pulled that number out of the air.
There were rumour of transfer fee being considered when negotiating with psg prior to his loan. That amount was reported as 20m.

we bought kean for 25m, rising to 27.5m. I assume the loan fee(around 6m) + reported transfer option would more or less cover what we’ve paid for kean.

17 mil is poor. He's just come off a season with psg, where he scored 17 goals. We've been well and truly rinsed.

No one wanted to pay £30+mill for him. Why do you think every club interested want to loan him rather than buy?

He's okay and all about potential rather than being anything special. No one wants to pay big money for him even after banging in goals for PSG. Which, let's face it...isn't too difficult.

Remember everyone saying Brands was good because we were gonna make a massive profit on Kean.

That went well.
At the time it was good business, on paper Kean represented a sound investment, clearly, he has had a tough time of things in the UK, yet he has shown he is a class player at PSG and can score goals in the Champions League, plus Juventus fans went crazy when he was sold and all the major Italian teams would have him and rate him.

The best comparison for proving why Kean was a good investment is Lukaku, they have very similar playing styles, Chelsea bought a player at 17 they believed had everything to be the very best - the reality that potential was only realised at 21 when he joined Everton on loan and that growth has continued season on season.

Having a pop at brands is an easy target, the reality that a Juventus transfer is even be talked about is Brands, negotiated a no buy-back clause

So with respect, you are wrong,

Doesn't the 17 million allow us to spend double for FFP?

Maybe somebody who knows can explain?

Depends on how the deal is structured. If we were going to get x million before the end of the financial year, then we could take that money and use it as the down payment for couple of (cheaper) deals we need to do. Problem here is it just looks like we are getting a loan value which wouldn't be anywhere near the 15 odd million we were expecting as the initial value we would get for him when thinking PSG are buying him for £35m

Juve on the brink of a shocking home defeat.

you’d think Ronaldo’s departure will have knocked the wind out of them totally.

if champions league is one of the criteria then it could be very dicey.
