Hi all,

New member to the forum, from Ireland ? want to give a shout out to the fans in goodison on the weekend, you were all brilliant, what an atmosphere, it’s games like that that would make you want to stay in goodison and forget the new stadium!!

Just made this thread to gauge peoples thoughts on moise kean, as we all know he’s only back on loan to juventus, has scored 5 goals in 20 odd games since going back, would you think he will ever be a success at Everton or should the club cut its losses and consider it better selling him back to juventus or what?
I think frank would enjoy working with him and make him a better player, likewise big dunc working with the forwards will surely have an effect on kean to get him performing to his capabilities.

Let us know what you think

Welcome.

On Moise Kean - we've already sold him mate. "Loan" but with obligation to buy, it just allowed a deferred payment.

Juventus will sell him at their first opportunity.

No. We have rightly cut our losses on him..

Goodison dog would probably put it in the net sooner than moise kean ?? why do so many hyped up players end up not being able to handle the pressure and fade into average ? We thought we were sold a Ferrari and in the end got a fiat ? he’s young so he could well turn it around, but chances are slim that he will .

Bit off topic but just related to transfer policies and club decision making (which has been shocking the last few years ever since Martinez left really) , Brian Clough made a great point years ago on question of sport I think it was, he said “if a board decides to sack a manager, the people that decided to appoint him should go as well” kenwright should of gone years ago, he’s got it horribly wrong so many times with decision making and manager appointments but transfer spending hasn’t been good either, surely the clubs made losses in this department the last few years ffs

Looks another Balotelli (maybe not quite as barmy). Definitely talented but textbook example of too much, too soon. Never really put the required effort in during that season he was here, seemed to develop an attitude that DCL was starting over him but it was justified because Dom was making a difference in games. I was one of the fans who wanted to believe in him, and I do still think some of the criticism he got was unfair, but he just didn't seize opportunities when they came along.

The loan to PSG seemed to do him the world of good, scored a good amount of goals (in big games too) and looked to have developed. Club decided to cash in with the deal to send him back to Juve but he's regressed to the player he was before his loan, though Juve admittedly aren't anywhere near the side they were 3-4 years ago so that hasn't helped his stats.

It was a gamble that ultimately didn't come off, easier to swallow though since we'll be getting our money back. With him I think it's very unlikely he develops into a top striker, probably just a half-decent one who has a solid career with a respectable club or a bit-part player with a big one. We won't ever miss him though.

I would be open to taking him back if Juve are that desperate to get out of the deal,

It would have to be a deal heavily heavily weighted in our favour, though, and would depend on the player wanting to come back (antics at Huddersfield suggest not)

Something like , they gave us £20m & the player back, on the basis the manager wanted him and the player wanted to come and fight for a spot.

Basically, not gonna happen and we’ve probably already budgeted the £31m incoming.

How on Earth would this even work?!

Well, in theory - they would pay off £20m of the £31m they owed, to get out of the obligation to buy.

It’s not something that would happen, but in theory it would only be that kind of deal weighted in our favour that would be worth considering.

They don't owe us anything yet. The obligation is still an option that hasn't triggered yet.
