Hodgson will do a good job there, from what ive seen they ar going to be a strong playing outfit next season.

His latest wheezes: attempts to re-sign 35 year old Hyppia and ties 32 year old Carragher down to a new contract.

It's like Dads Army over there.

Too true Dave. If the bank takes over will they pull Woy's transfer budget in January? Haha that would be good. Add to that sell off assets to recoup money owed?

Plus that 30 year old Danish player they're trying to sign? Paulson or whatever his name is.

Its like Walter Smith - all over again. BUT OVER THERE!

Telling you lads hes an excellent couach if he gets the best out of Gerrard, Cole, Aquallnii, Babel, Torress, Joachivich.

They will have a good season the also have a fantastic defence.

Christian Poulsan is a terrific signing and player.

As much as the above pains me, they could well challenge.

The Syrian seems certain now to takeover. Apart from clearing debt has promised funds to build new stadium. So how much is this guy worth? Anyone know about him?

This whole situation keeps getting better, for anyone keeping up with it.

Basically anyone that Huang has claimed a link with has denied anything to do with him or Liverpool FC, his friends have said he has no capacity whatsoever to buy the club, his business address in Hong Kong doesn't exist, and Huang himself has denied making a bid and admitted only to 'interest'. The other bidders too have all distanced themselves from claims that anything close to a bid has been entered.

Most deliciously, a Liverpool board meeting scheduled for tomorrow to discuss offers has been called off, because there are no offers to discuss.

Any chance of them getting some wonga for this transfer window is gone, now the deadline for the club is October 6th; the date by which RBS have demanded repayment of the loans. If that date arrives with the current debt levels, it won't be pretty

Two words: Robert Steelhammer.

Kopites have agreed to sign Brad Jones from Boro for £2.5million

One of the local journos (Chief Sports Writer, The Northern Echo) is cracking me up on Twitter

Scottwilsonecho

Claims coming out of #Liverpool that a £2.5m fee has been agreed for #Boro's Brad Jones. Dear God, what have they done....

and basically saying he's [Poor language removed].

Others questioning if the Kopites can afford these players.
