Interesting article in the echo today, reporting on Silva saying restoring Schneiderlin's confidence is one of his biggest challenges.

Said he had personal issues last year which I think I mentioned on here had to be the case given the severity of the cliff edge drop of his form.

I feel for lads like him. They are people after all. Yes he's on top money but it doesn't make you immune to the issues any of us can face.

It's not about hating them, it's about objectively doing what's right to make this club better. Even if he's in form, just don't see him as a great player for us. I always thought he'd want to go back to France. I wouldn't be surprised if he was willing to take a bit of a paycut to do so.

Was utterly outstanding when he first came in. Then struggled, more than most, under Koeman and Allardyce. There's a player in there, unfortunately though I feel he's finished here.

i thought that had to put to bed? and was utter drivel made up by the press and people on here?

I guess it depends which version of the truth you believe.... I believe the side that is consistent with a 120k a week footballer who laughed at us losing and shrugged his shoulders when being asked whether he cares.

The one that's consistent with a player who strolls around doing nothing... but ok... he's lacking in confidence. Probably cos he knows the fans have him sussed

Schneiderleins only regret in his time at Everton is that Samuel Eto wasn't still here to lead the "mega money can't be arsed mutiny"

For me it's case of 'I really can't be arsed, and don't want to be here' rather than confidence.

I wonder if he'll actually leave though.

It seems he's not arsed about football at all, and would be more than happy to sit on the sidelines every week collecting wages until his contract runs out.

Tbf though mate, you can speculate but we have nothing to really suggest that's the case

I'd say his performances were of a player who really can't be arsed and doesn't want to be here tbh mate.

You can only judge sometimes what you see with your eyes and from the times I've seen him play I ain't seen any effort/desire
